Kaldoaivi Ultra Trail

Kaldoaivi Ultra Trail is the northernmost ultramarathon event in the world, held in Utsjoki, in the wilderness of Lapland. The route passes over the peaks of the highest fells in Kaldoaivi and offers stunning, challenging scenery. The race tests runners' endurance and skills in demanding natural conditions, but rewards experience that makes many return annually. The event also includes mountain biking competitions and offers diverse options for participants of different levels.

Registration for two days grants a 30% discount on the cheaper series price. The participation fee includes drinks and energy supplies at aid stations, shower facilities, transportation of gear bags to the finish, a start number, timing chip, Kaldoaivi Ultra Trail lightweight backpack, KUT product, and a Finisher pendant. Series changes and transfers are free until July 7, 2027. Competition centers and start locations are in Nuorgam and Utsjoki. The race schedule includes multiple start times for different distances on July 23 and 24, 2027. Participant quotas vary by distance, for example, MTB & E-MTB 57 km: 100 participants, Trailrun 168 km: 100 participants. The event includes several disciplines such as trail running, mountain biking, and road cycling, without amenities along the route. Participation includes a race number, timing chip, lightweight backpack, and finisher pendant.
