Kaldoaivi Ultra Trail

Kaldoaivi Ultra Trail is the world’s northernmost ultra-running event, held in Utsjoki, in the Lapland wilderness. The route climbs to the summits of Kaldoaivi’s highest fells and offers spectacular, challenging scenery. The race tests runners’ endurance and skills in demanding natural terrain, but rewards them with an experience that brings many back year after year. The event also includes mountain bike races and offers a range of options for participants of different levels.

Registering for two days gives a 30% discount on the price of the lower-priced category. The entry fee includes drinks and energy supplies at aid stations, washing facilities, transport of a gear bag to the finish, a race number, timing, a Kaldoaivi Ultra Trail lightweight backpack, a KUT product and a Finisher pendant. Category changes and transfers are free of charge until 7.7.2027. The event centres and start locations are in Nuorgam and Utsjoki. The race schedule includes several start times for different distances on 23.7. and 24.7.2027. Participant limits vary by distance; for example, MTB & E-MTB 57 km: 100 participants, Trailrun 168 km: 100 participants. The event offers several distances, including trail running, mountain biking and road cycling, with no amenities along the route. Participation includes a race number, timing chip, lightweight backpack and Finisher pendant.
