Tampere Maraton 13.9.2026

Tampere Marathon is a true city marathon, held in the heart of Tampere on 13 September 2026. The event offers a marathon, half marathon, 10 km race, minimarathon for the youngest members of the family, and a marathon relay for teams of four. The route runs through the city centre and alongside Tampere’s waterways, mostly on asphalt and partly on gravel paths, offering beautiful urban scenery and a challenge for runners. The start and finish area is at Tampere Stadium, which is well connected by public transport. Organised by runners, for runners, the event offers the joy of achievement to runners of all ages and abilities.

Race office open Sat 12.9. from 16:00 to 19:00 and Sun 13.9. from 8:00 onwards at Tampere Stadium. The 10 km start is at Aleksandra Siltanen Park, approximately 2 km from the stadium; allow 20 minutes to get to the start. Changing rooms and bag storage at Tampere Stadium. Marathon pacers will run target times of 3:45 (uncertain), 4:00, 4:15, 4:30 and 5:00. A hot soup meal, juice and water will be available at the finish. Timing and results service by MyLaps Sports Service. Lead cyclists ensure the front runners have an unobstructed route. Traffic control on the course is provided in cooperation with the police. The event takes place on 13.9.2026; registration is open online; various categories and distances are available; participants are provided with race services and route information; Runner’s Card discounts are available, and participation can be transferred with a medical certificate.
