The Running Race is a versatile trail running event in Oulainen, offering categories and distances for runners of all ages and fitness levels. The competition is held at the Honkamaja area and includes distances from 0.3 km for children to 10 km for general categories, as well as fitness series. Prizes are awarded in each category, and there are also raffles, such as a bicycle giveaway. Runners have access to showered changing rooms, and the event is part of Oulaisten Taru's diverse sports activities.

Late registrations are charged at double the fee. Prizes are awarded to at least the top three in each category, and all participants in the under 12 age groups receive prizes. Prizes are also raffled among fitness series participants. All runners participate in a bicycle raffle. The competition includes various distances such as 0.1 km, 0.3 km, 0.5 km, 1 km, 2 km, 5 km, and 7 km, and is a popular local event offering the opportunity to participate in outdoor running.
