Renforsin maraton, Kajaani

Renforsin Marathon is a charity running event held in Kajaani on September 19, 2026, with proceeds supporting local youth sports. The event offers a stunning course along the beautiful river scenery and sights of Kajaani, such as near the ruins of Kajaani Castle. The start and finish areas are at the Market Square, and the route runs along the banks of the Kajaani River. The event includes a marathon, half marathon, quarter marathon, and children's runs for different age groups.

Children's runs are free of charge, and participants are awarded. Mini-Renforsin runs for children under 8 years old (150 m) and over 8 years old (300 m) are without timing. There are three refreshment points on the route (at 3.5 km, 7.0 km, 10.5 km) with sports drinks and water. Participant materials can be picked up at the race office on Friday from 17:00 to 19:00 or on race day from 9:00 onwards. The awards ceremony for the top three in each category will be at 15:00 at the Market Square. The Oktoberfest tent opens at 16:00. The event is a charity event supporting youth sports, offering participants the chance to enjoy the beautiful environment and a communal atmosphere.
