Pirkan Kieppi 5.10.2025

The jewel of the running season and the icing on the cake, Pirkan Hölkkä is a long-distance running event held mostly on trails. It takes place every year on the first Sunday in October. Together with TU38, we are organizing the much-requested shorter distance, the 14 km Pirkan Kieppi.

Pirkan Kieppi starts at the Pirkan Hölkkä finish area, in the courtyard of TAKK’s Nirva campus, at 11:30. On-site late registration is open from 10:00 to 11:00.

The route continues via Lahdesjärvi to Vuores, where it winds through the beautiful scenery of this neighbourhood. It then joins the traditional Pirkan Hölkkä route at the Vormisto aid station, from where runners continue to the finish together with the full-distance participants.

Pirkan Kieppi has two open categories, women (N) and men (M). Timing is based on gun time, from the starting gun to crossing the finish line. At the start, you can choose a spot near the start line according to your target time.
