Orimattilan Kymppi

The most significant village event to develop in Kuivanto is Kuivannon Kymppi. As a celebration of physical activity, it brings villagers together in late autumn to exercise and organize a sporting event. This outdoor and sporting event, initiated by local residents, was first held in 1981, when 24 participants completed the course. The event has grown into a significant international gathering, with more than 500 participants from countries including Russia, Estonia, Sweden, England and Kenya. Through cooperation between the City of Orimattila and local village associations, the event has been carried forward one year at a time.
