Komia Ilkan Polku

KOMIA Ilkan Polku is a varied and challenging trail-running event held in Ilmajoki near Kyrkösjärvi. The event offers several distances, including a 39 km marathon, a 20 km half marathon, a 10 km sprint, and the children’s Halloween Run. The route follows a variety of trails and village roads, with approximately 300 metres of elevation gain. The event centre is at Luontokeskus Käpälikkö on the shore of Kyrkösjärvi, where runners can enjoy beautiful natural scenery and challenging sections. The event is also family-friendly and encourages participants to dress in a Halloween theme.

The event has mass starts, bag storage, and bag transport from the start to the finish area. The café serves coffee, sweets, sausages, and drinks. First-aid points are located along the route and at the finish. Changing facilities, showers, and toilets are available in the changing rooms at Kyrkösjärvi beach. Littering in nature is prohibited. The children’s Halloween Run is free and encourages participants to dress up in costume. The event includes various categories, the route, timing, prizes, a café, soup, bag storage, toilets at Kyrkösjärvi beach, a recommendation to have insurance, first aid, and the opportunity to test running shoes.
