Peräkylän Ponnistus organizes the Beer Mile Finnish Championship on Friday, August 26th at 6:00 PM at the central field of Pirkkola Sports Park. The rules are simple: run a mile, which is four laps around the track, and before each lap, enjoy one beer. The fastest to finish wins. The competition has two categories: Beer (Official) and Non-Alcoholic Beer, and the categories are unisex. The world record according to international rules is 4:33.6.
